Radio Bartica 95.1 FM was commissioned on November 18, 2017, by His Excellency President David Granger. The studio is located in the upper flat of the Learning Resource Center at One Mile Potaro and its transmitter is located on the GTT Antennae in the Municipality of Bartica. Radio Bartica’s partners include the Office of the Prime Minister, National Communications Network and the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), Cuyuni Mazaruni, Region 7. Local programming commenced on Monday, June 4th, 2018.
The team comprises five on-air persons and a technical monitor. Local content focus on the main sectors of Education, Regional Administration, Health and Culture and Sports. The Friday and Saturday editions are primarily for the promotion of local talents and featuring live performances of various artists.
