  • In 1961 joined struggle for Guyana’s independence and held leadership positions in political parties:

    • 1964 – 2011: People’s Progressive Party (PPP)
    • 2011 – 2017: Vice-Chairman, Alliance For Change (AFC)
    • 2017 – Present: Elder Statesman/Political Advisor, Alliance For Change (AFC)
